Plarn & T-shirt Yarn Making Class
Plarn & T-shirt Yarn Making Class
Join us Sunday, March 30th from 2-5pm for a creative and eco-friendly workshop where you'll learn how to make your own Plarn (plastic yarn) and T-shirt yarn from upcycled materials! In this hands-on class, you'll explore sustainable crafting techniques that reduce waste while creating unique yarns perfect for a variety of DIY projects.
What You Will Learn:
Plarn Making: Learn how to turn plastic bags into soft, sturdy yarn (Plarn) using easy cutting and knotting techniques. We'll show you how to properly cut plastic bags into strips and link them together to create the perfect yarn for your projects.
T-shirt Yarn Making: Discover how to repurpose old t-shirts into yarn! We'll guide you through the process of cutting t-shirts into strips, and how to join them to make a long, continuous thread ideal for weaving, knitting, or crocheting.
Project Ideas: Get inspiration for your next project—whether it's a woven mat, a tote bag, or a home décor item. You'll leave with ideas for using both Plarn and T-shirt yarn in creative ways.
Eco-Friendly Crafting: Understand the environmental benefits of upcycling and using materials that would otherwise be discarded, making your crafting both fun and sustainable.
