Hi, my name is Ruthie Smith and I’m the designer, creator, and owner of Teal Dragonfly Creations. I reside in beautiful Montana with my husband, two children, mom, and several fur babies. I opened a local yarn shop in 2021 and when I’m not crocheting and teaching classes I can be found sewing with my mom, participating in church activities, homeschooling my son, reading, and hiking. I’ve been crocheting since the age of 6, when I was taught by my grandma. My passion for crochet has only grown throughout the years and then in 2019 I began writing down my patterns to share with the world; but I have been designing them for years. My favorite patterns to create are dragonfly inspired as the dragonfly is elegant, graceful, enchanting, and a sign of change, transformation, and adaptability.
